Traditional Design
Traditional interior designs are calm, well-organized, predictable and comfortable for any age group. Furnishings are classic with smooth angles and gentle curves. Functional and unfussy furniture pieces match, and, along with accessories, placed in pairs and centered in the room. Lighter toned wall colors are presented while the furniture and accessories can be dark. Floral patterns are often incorporated in the furniture or wallpaper. Fabrics are neither too shiny nor too textured. Textures are muted and understated rather than bold. Florals, plain colors, muted plaids, understated stripes, geometrics, tone-on-tone and small all-over patterns are common.
